I was informed all about Lasik but once it came down to it the doctor said I could only have PRK laser surgery and not Lasik. I don’t know much about PRK.. I mean I know it takes longer to heal and I basically know the procedure.. but I wasn’t informed of the side affects it may have and I can’t seem to find the information I need online. Has anyone had this surgery? WHta were your results and did it hurt? I need as much information as possible please before I make a decision. I will be calling the doctor tomorrow, but I would rather hear about it from people who have actually had it done. Thanks in advance.

I had my custom lasik done friday and today my vision is still blurry. Of course It’s alot better, but still blurry. For example, right now that I’m on the computer the letters are really blurry. I;m just wondering if maybe it takes longer with lasik? Any experience? i don’t see my doctor for another two weeks…so just asking those who has had it?

I’m having LASIK this Thursday to correct a high astigmatism. The surgeon is highly recommended, educated, and I trust him completely. I know most people see dramatic results right away, but varying sources say it can take up to 6 months before your vision is stabilized. Has anyone else had this surgery and how well was your recovery time? Were you able to see better right away and go on with daily life as normal?

I’ve read that people who have “dry eye syndrome” shouldn’t have LASIK surgery. I don’t have that syndrome, but I do take several prescription medications daily that have tended to make my eyes dry.
