How can I tell if my cornea flap has become dislodged after LASIK?

Filed under: Lasik Surgery Q&A — admin @ 8:29 am
avalerion asked:

Also, can anything bad happen by letting a little bit of soap drip into the eye, and then washing it out with tear eye drops?
It’s not that I want soap in my eye - it’s that a little bit of soap dripped in this morning and made it burn. I put some drops in to wash it out, and aside from that, doesn’t seem like anything’s amiss. The eye that had a little soap in it is a little more blurry than the other, but that might also be natural.

i’m interested in optometry school, but i am curious to know whether or not i would be permitted to perform LASIK eye surgery. i know opthomologists can do this so i’m considering this after med school, but is it also available in some states for optometrists…i’m interested in LASIK but if possible i’d like to avoid med school?

Is it possible to improve your eyesight without lasik surgery?

Filed under: Lasik Surgery Q&A — admin @ 10:42 pm
nickname asked:

I hate wearing glasses and I’m afraid that if I don’t do something soon, my eyes are going to get worse and worse and I might end up relying on glasses for the rest of my life. I don’t want to grow up to be an old person who can’t even see their own grandchildren. I’ve seen many advertisements on the internet about buying books that will improve your eyesight, but I don’t think they actually work and it’s not worth the chance of buying them. Are there any proven natural ways to improve your eyesight? Has anyone actually tried them and gotten REAL results?

How much did you pay for Lasik eye surgery?

Filed under: Lasik Surgery Q&A — admin @ 3:22 pm
samw3 asked:

Also did you have an astigmatism that was properly corrected?
The reason I’m asking is that I just saw a web advert that claims a “starting price” of $299 / eye.
