I know that in USA, you must be at least 18 to get LASIK surgery. What about different countries in Europe, is there any LASIK surgery that you can be less than 18?

Is there certain certification I should look for? A website that has ratings of clinics in my area perhaps? I live in the L.A. area by the way if anyone else in my area has recommendations.

I underwent lasik laser surgery on Dec. 24, 2008. Now 6 months have passed. I still face glare problem, my eyes get tired early and also eye sight is not totally improved like a normal person. Should i wait more for better results. Doctors say eye sight will continue to improve day by day and all the side effect i am facing will go away with the time. How much i have to put medicines in my eyes.
Please help me.

What is the procedure of Lasik surgery like?

Filed under: Lasik Surgery Q&A — admin @ 7:41 am
Rout asked:

Is the procedure of Lasik surgery painful?
I’m 18 years old and I recently asked my dad for contacts, which he said yes to. But he gave me the suggestion on getting Lasik surgery. It has been a week now and he is strongly suggesting to get the surgery.

I’m afraid of pain and I really hate the idea of doing the surgery. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me what it’s like during the procedure and after. Thank you.

If contacts build protein, how does lasik eye surgery work?

Filed under: Lasik Surgery Q&A — admin @ 11:56 am
Kloverix asked:

I’ve seen some videos of how the surgery is done, and they put these sort of contact things in your eyes. But since contacts build proteins and thats why you have to change them, how would the contact thingy inserted in your eyes during surgery work? Does it not build protein? How so?

To people who have had LASIK surgery, have you had any complications?

tonyl asked:

My friend had LASIK a year ago and the one complication he’s had is red eyes, I assume, because they’re dry. I was wondering what other users who have undergone the treatment have experienced.

Tigerwoods? asked:

I am currently 20 and looking to get lasik surgery. However my vision hasnt been steady at all. Yet I really want to get it even if it isnt stable. Whats the reasoning for doctors not wanting to do lasik on unstable vision? And can i get the surgery anyways?

What practice and/or doctor is known to be the best for performing LASIK eye surgery in Atlanta?

Filed under: Lasik Surgery Q&A — admin @ 3:59 am
Vega asked:

I want to thank Lauren for her answer…but I am not looking for a doctor sponsored informational website.

I am looking for patients who have actually had the procedure done, or knows someone who has, and can give an honest referral for a practice in or around Atlanta.

I am also open to hearing about places that you WOULDN’T advise I go, in case you have heard consistantly bad reviews from a particular practice.

Thanks.

What is the advantages of LASEK over LASIK?

Filed under: Lasik Surgery Q&A — admin @ 10:22 pm
julie asked:

I am going to get corrective surgery and my doctor said that I am a candidate for both. He said that maybe LASEK would be better for me but it is a much longer recovery time. So I was wondering if there is any advantages to have Lasek over lasik?
